Please share a memory of Nikki to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Nikki Charlene Springer Adolf was born on December 27, 1942 to Paul and Evelyn “Pinkie” Springer and went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2020. Nikki was raised on a farm outside of Lamar, Colorado attending school and then working for the phone company. It was when she was visiting cousins near Burlington, Colorado that she met Wilford Adolf and they were married on February 7, 1965. They spent the early year of their lives together ranching and farming in the Burlington and Idalia area and in Livermore, Wyoming before settling down on the family farm north of Bethune. They were married for 53 years and together they raised three children, Charlene, Dawn and Stony. Nikki later worked at the Bethune Grain Elevator for many years. In her off hours, she loved gardening and crafting, but her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren. She attended every ballgame, concert and art show that she possibly could, traveling to Iowa, Texas, California, Hawaii and many other places to be with them and help in their raising. Nikki is survived by her daughters Charlene (Dennie) Flock, Dawn (Brad) Jackson, and her son Stony Adolf, as well as her grandchildren Tyler (Tasha) Flock, Sydney (Luke) Terrell, Chayenne Jackson, Cody Adolf and Christian Adolf, and great-grandchildren Taya Flock, Thatcher Flock, Cleo Terrell and Emerson Terrell. She is also survived by her brother Chris (Lenora) Springer and her brother and sister-in-law Harold (Marilyn) Adolf and Velda (Raymond) Dobler. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Wilford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Caring Hands Hospice or to the Aurora Children's Hospital in Nikki's memory and may be left or sent to the Bank of Burlington, PO Box 427, Burlington, Colorado 80807.
